What type of brain cancer does Michael Strahan’s daughter have?
Michael Strahan appeared on the Jan. 11 program of “Good Morning America” along with his daughter Isabella Strahan, where he discussed her current health situation.
The television host, 52, disclosed to his fellow co-anchor Robin Roberts that his daughter, Isabella has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor known as medulloblastoma.
He said,
Isabella began experiencing headaches in late October, shortly after beginning her freshman year at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Later, it was found that she had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma. She had a fast-growing 4-centimeter tumor in the back of her brain, larger than a golf ball.
Isabella shared,
The 19-year-old student stated that she initially believed her symptoms to be vertigo, but after a few weeks, she realized they had gotten worse.
Michael added,
How did Michael Strahan react after learning about his daughter’s illness?
Michael revealed he got the news before Isabella did and “it didn’t feel real.” He said,

Furthermore, Strahan disclosed Isabella had emergency surgery on October 27 at Cedars-Sinai to remove the lump, the day before her 19th birthday.
Following her surgery, she had multiple rounds of radiation therapy and a month-long recuperation.
In February, she will begin chemotherapy at Durham, North Carolina’s Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center.
